After the long drive deep into the National Forest, Council Bluff Lake is a pleasant surprise.

A nice sized 440-acre lake nestled in the hills, there is no dissapointment to be had spending a weekend here.

Council Bluff is the largest lake in the Mark Twain National Forest, and is a mere 15 minute drive from the vineyard!

For more information, visit the Council Bluff Recreation Area at the U.S. Forest Service's website.
