AUGUST – FIRST WEEK

The main structure has been raised and the electrical, water supply, HVAC and waste water disposal are all in tact and functioning. In spite of severe neglect, the grapes are doing well. IMG_0419

Even thought the grapes are holding their own, we have continued with the irrigation plan. An irrigation line has been ran from the well head near the main structure. This line will provide water for the 170 vines that will line the main approach road. The posts and support rails are in place and the plants are growing in pots now. The road vines will be planted early next spring and will not only produce a very attractive approach but serve as the source of the healthiest vines on the property to this point.

Whiff of cloud drifting across ridge to the east

The photo below shows clouds in the valleys as seen from the tower looking southeast. I was trying to count the ridge tops but could not pick them out because of the cloud cover. The tower will be named for the number of main ridges that can be seen. There are at least six ridges and maybe seven that span several miles. The tower will be known as “Six Ridge Tower” or “Seven Ridge Tower”, whichever checks out.

That’s all for now, check back soon for more info and photos.
